I bet you didn’t know this. 🧠
The average number of extremely hot days in the U.S. per year with a daily maximum temperature ≥95°, ≥100° and ≥105° have decreased since 1895.
In fact, the average number of days per year ≥95° was >18% lower during the 60-year period 1961-2020 than during the 60-year period 1901-1960.
Good luck finding these statistics in the Washington Post, New York Times or on CNN.
i think we will look back in 25 years and realize that we misallocated time, talent, and capital at an absurd magnitude
we built unicorns solving lazy problems like food delivery
all while since 2000, US steel production has dropped 34% (108M tons to 71M tons), we lost 5.8M manufacturing jobs, and China now produces 57% of global steel vs our 4%
The U.S. now has World War II levels of indebtedness without fighting a world war. So where did all the money go? The Greatest Generation incurred that debt to defeat the Nazis and Imperial Japan. In our case, nobody even knows where the money went and you’re not allowed to ask.
The Democratic Party is now largely an influence peddling racket—and that’s the better part. The other component belongs to the Deep State / Five Eyes, and it habitually pursues their agenda over the wellbeing of average Americans. The sum total is a party that sells us out to hostile forces, full time, year in and year out.
It’s a rude awakening when you see the betrayal for the first time. The best way for Democratic Party voters to wrap their minds around it is to think of the party as a dog that has contracted rabies: whatever that animal may once have been, whatever nostalgia one might have for the creature it once was, that is all in the past. The only sane course of action is to end it, as soon as humanly possible.
