5 COMMON MISTAKES GAA COACHES MAKE.

This is not to bash any coaches nor do I have all the answers but these 5 things are a staple within my coaching.

https://t.co/FC3ycQUBXp > Drills. Games provide chaos, decision making and replicates what we do in a match. Drills are straight line, structure, very little decision making.
2.When setting up a session, ensure that players need to solve problems infront of them. Set plays, Team plays, Positional awareness etc are all problems that players must solve on the field. Put conditioning like sizing of the field, the shape of the field, no touch, time limits on ball, kickouts etc etc.
3.Principles of play in my definition is a set of guidelines in which will help us achieve success. Kickouts for, kickouts against, when we have the ball, when we don’t have the ball, high block, low block, mid block, when we have 14 men, when we are a player up, when we have a sideline etc etc.

5.Weights room in season = injury prevention. Do your gym work.

Our @sligogaa u14 lads took part in @ConnachtGAA sean purcell 7 a side today. Young lads first time to wear the county colours. Loads of great football on display and extremely will run by cian o dea and cathal cregg. 👏👏🏐🏐
