AI compute already locked into contracts by September 2026:

· $AKAM: 7-year $11.6B with Anthropic, plus $9B optionality
· $AMZN: up to ~5GW with Anthropic
· $GOOG: ~5GW with Anthropic/Broadcom from 2027
· $MSFT + $NVDA: ~$30B Azure capacity tied to Anthropic

If you think cheaper models mean fewer chips and less cloud, you are too naive.

Tokens got cheaper. Capacity did not. Cheaper inference means more calls. More calls mean CPU, GPU, optics and power get contracted earlier. Akamai did not even raise 2026 revenue guidance — the deal starts contributing in 2H27 — and the tape still repriced “signed demand” overnight.

That is not bearish. That is the market catching up to contracted load.

Stop asking what rips tomorrow. Ask who already sold the next five years of compute.
