Everyone is using AI to build their website now. Pump out 50 location pages in an afternoon. "Plumbing services in [City]." "Plumbing services in [City]." Over and over. Feels productive. Looks like progress.

Google is DEINDEXING those pages.

I've audited companies with 80 AI generated location pages where only 12 are actually indexed. They thought they were ahead of the game. In reality Google flagged the entire batch as thin duplicate content and refused to show it.

The problem is AI writes the same page every time. It swaps the city name and rearranges the sentences. That's it. Google has seen that exact structure a million times now. It knows.

The pages that actually rank talk about specific neighborhoods. They reference local building codes. They mention the common problems in that area. A water heater page for Boca Raton should read completely different than one for Denver because the issues ARE different. AI doesn't know that unless you force it to.

If you generated 30 pages in a day and felt like a genius go check your indexing in Search Console. You'll probably be sick.
