That live play shows with drama and story focused played (whether it is scripted or not) is as valid and is as much playing as a dungeon or hex crawl. The foundation of both are found in the very different styles and views of Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax. Each player group should work out what style works for them. They can even play around with different styles. As long as everyone has fun, it is a successful group.
