@HaliReturns2026 I'm normally step for step with you on basketball takes but I like this pickup for the price. I like his off ball scoring ability.
I also could be biased because we saw him at Disney and my son was in awe so it's cool to see him on the Pacers.
@Brianna39702494 I assumed that if she reached out to her directly that would accomplish the same.
Yeah I'm no Cathy fan I just don't see how posting a public statement is helpful. Responding directly to the player and connecting to security resources does seem helpful
Only quoting because she turned off comments (which kind of furthers my point)
If the source is social media - very possibly.
Look under any WNBA post on any controversial issue, there are extreme and out of line comments in volume
@robertawbb Death threats are never ok.
Do you think Cathy issuing a statement earlier would have contained the threats?
It feels like the security measure and reaching out to the impacted individual was a practical response.
@TheDestinAdams I want him on the team if for no other reason than we saw him with his family at Disney right after the playoffs and my son was in awe.
@bmcglothlin10 Same. Its a two way deal and you didn't give up any outright future picks. You save cap in a cap tight contention year. Hard to be mad at it.
@mrlongshore I get that the NFL is not the same but the Colts did this with Isaiah Rogers. As a fan it sucked seeing him go but I understood the decision.
@mrlongshore "If Texas Tech turns its back on him now, what message does that send to every player and family they recruit?"
It sends a message that they value ethics amongst their players and have a zero tolerance policy towards this behavior. I think that's a fine message to send
