I absolutely LOVED collaborating with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra on this song. A huge shoutout and thank you to them.
I thought you might like to see a behind the scenes video of how this song was made. I hope you enjoy it.
When I started writing this song, I was just planning on writing a Christmas song. But then it kind of took on a mind of its own and I ended up focusing most of the song on the reasons why we celebrate Christmas.
I thought of the different scriptures that talk of Jesus seeking out those in most need and how He ministered to them…how those who were overlooked by others were not overlooked by the Savior of the world. That in and of itself is simply amazing, in my opinion, and teaches more about God than probably anything else…that He ministers to the one and doesn’t overlook the outcasts.
I thought of how even though He went about doing good, He was still rejected and eventually gave His life as a sacrifice that somehow pays our debts and even makes it possible for us to live forever.
And I thought about His promise that He would one day return to the earth and triumph over all the things that stand in the way of our health, happiness, peace, etc.
“Emmanuel” means “God with us.” I really believe that regardless of how hopeless things may seem in our individual lives or even in the world at large, if we include God in our lives, nothing will be impossible and things will be made right in the end. As the prophet Isaiah taught, the Lord is able to give us beauty for ashes and heal and repair those things that are beyond our ability to heal and repair. I believe that will all of my heart.
I wish you all a wonderful start to the Christmas and holiday season and I hope you enjoy this new song: “The King Emmanuel.” ❤️
The King Emmanuel will be released on Wednesday and available on all streaming platforms. Here’s a little unplugged version of the first couple verses.
Working hard on my new Christmas single “The King Emmanuel.” Can’t wait to share it with you on tour and on all streaming platforms in a few short weeks!
I'm very excited to announce my Christmas 2025 Emmanuel Tour, featuring a new single that will be released soon! Tickets for all the shows go on sale this Thursday, August 28, at 11am local time.
Now for the ticket giveaway! I need your help spreading the word about these concerts and also with creating the set list. So, for a chance to win tickets to one of the shows, just post below which show or shows you're coming to, tag everyone you want to go with, and list 1 song you hope to hear during the concert. We will run this contest for 1 week and the winners will be notified.
Beware of scammers in the comments section, by the way. They will pretend to be me, ask you to DM them, pretend to be selling tickets, etc. It’s not me. And anyone pretending to sell tickets that they aren’t able to use…it’s a scam. The only place you can find legit tickets is at my website https://t.co/gMCD2CD6jJ.
Can’t wait to perform for you in a few short months!
Alright my friends, the movie pitch for Beloved is officially done and we’ll be submitting it to Angel Studios and other movie studios in the next few weeks.
For those of you that grabbed the audiobook and the album, I’m going to be throwing an online watch party so that you can see the movie pitch even before the movie studios see it.
If you’d like to grab the audiobook and the album and be among the first to see the movie pitch, you can grab it at https://t.co/ZkV9CGf3eR or you can go straight to the App Store and download it there.
Can’t wait to get everything in place to make this into a movie musical for you all to see.
Cheers!
“Caruso” is one of the greatest love songs ever written IMHO. It’s been recorded by Pavarotti, Bocelli, Groban and so many others. Lucio Dalla wrote it as a tribute to the greatest Tenor Caruso and it tells such an amazing story.
I love singing it at my shows. For those of you that have thought I’ve been singing gibberish all this time, here’s a lyric video to let you know what all that gibberish is about! :-)
Thank you again to Everton Santos and the entire team at KLAS for putting together such an amazing event. I loved being a part of it.
