@ians_india Criminals from a political party, government departments, polices, judiciary, normal people should be equal under law! If the break the law they must bear the consequences of breaking the law. If the consequences are lax, then the consequences are delayed
Plastic pollution is also a climate crisis. From fossil fuel origins to GHG emissions, its lifecycle degrades our environment.
The "Rewriting the Plastic Story: For a Sustainable Climate Future" by @AnaghaKris61311@girija_bharat call for urgent circularity & policy action.
On the 2026 International Day for Biological Diversity, the theme “Acting Locally for Global Impact” reminds us that meaningful environmental change begins at the community level.

"Water must anchor climate action. Implementation must be swift, equitable, and technologically robust. Resilience should be measured not by infrastructure built, but by systems that continue to serve people when the next flood arrives, when the next drought lingers, and when the next climate shock tests the nation’s preparedness," write Dr Girija Bharat, Managing Director, Mu Gamma Consultants, and Dr Syamal Kumar Sarkar, Senior Advisor, TERI, for @the_hindu.

In their latest article, Dr @kritiakansha and @basu_roy22324 from MGC highlight why PFAS must become a national environmental priority—from systematic monitoring and stricter regulation to advanced treatment technologies and a comprehensive management framework.
As India’s industrial and urban systems expand, addressing emerging contaminants like PFAS is essential for protecting public health and ecosystems.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi @norwayinindia has supported the INOPOL project, which has conducted PFAS research.
PFAS or forever chemicals are detected in India’s rivers, groundwater, sediments, food packaging, & blood. Despite their persistence & potential health risks, research & regulatory frameworks in India remain fragmented, hindering effective management & response to PFAS.
@gamma_mu translates CECs research (POPs, PFAS, EDCs) from the lab to actionable policy! We're celebrating 10 years of turning science into safe environmental standards, pollution control & reducing public health impacts.

Report on “Gender Dimensions of Plastic and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Pollution in India” is out! https://t.co/PqZmrJI5wA
It shows how women face disproportionate health risks from chemical & plastic pollution & actionable policy recommendations.
