Her condition deteriorated, and she was admitted on August 24, 2026, to be evaluated for a possible heart-lung transplant. Early on September 1, 2026, she developed severe cyanosis (lack of oxygen), suffered a hypoxic spell, and went into cardiac arrest. She was declared dead.
