🚨Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher debate the most painful World Cup eliminations of 2026.
🎙️ Host: “We’ve seen some huge nations crash out. Which elimination hurt the most?”
🗣️ Ian Wright: “For me, Brazil. Every World Cup they arrive with expectations of lifting the trophy. When Brazil go home, the entire football world feels it. They had quality all over the pitch, but Norway exposed them. That’s a result people will be talking about for years.”
🗣️ Roy Keane: “Portugal’s exit was painful in a different way. They had Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Vitinha… all that talent. But they never looked like a proper team. They kept passing around the box instead of hurting Spain. If you’re going to play Ronaldo, then play to his strengths. They didn’t, and they’re paying the price.”
🗣️ Jamie Carragher: “The hosts deserve a mention as well. The United States going out at home is disappointing. Mexico and Canada too. Three host nations with huge support, and only one of them made a real impact. You always want the home fans involved for as long as possible because it lifts the whole tournament.”
🎙️ Host: “So which one was the most painful?”
🗣️ Roy Keane: “Egypt. Without question.”
🗣️ Ian Wright: “I agree. They were two goals up against Argentina. They had one foot in the next round. Then the game completely changed.”
🗣️ Jamie Carragher: “And the refereeing is why people are still talking about it. The disallowed goal, the penalty decisions, the lack of consistency… Egypt will feel that football was taken out of their hands. Whether people agree or not, that’s the perception, and it’s left a bitter taste.”
🗣️ Roy Keane: “When supporters spend more time discussing the referee than the football, something has gone wrong. Egypt deserved the chance to decide that match on football alone. Instead, many people have walked away believing the game was handed over to help Argentina survive.”
🗣️ Ian Wright: “That’s why it’s the most painful elimination of this World Cup. Brazil lost because they were beaten. Portugal lost because they didn’t play well enough. But Egypt will always wonder… what if the game had simply been allowed to play out naturally?”
🚨Thierry Henry on Argentina eliminating Egypt from the FIFA World Cup:
🗣️ “For me, this feels like football robbery in broad daylight.
I’m not taking anything away from Argentina’s quality because they have world-class players, but I don’t think they deserved to win this match. Egypt worked incredibly hard to build a two-goal lead. They defended with courage, attacked with confidence and earned every bit of that advantage.
The turning point, in my opinion, was the refereeing. I didn’t agree with the penalty that was awarded to Argentina earlier in the game, and after that it felt as though every important decision was going against Egypt. Whether people agree or disagree, those moments changed the rhythm of the match and gave Argentina the momentum they desperately needed.
Egypt will leave this tournament feeling heartbroken because they were so close to one of the greatest victories in their history. Sometimes football is decided by brilliant moments, and sometimes it’s decided by controversial decisions. Tonight, I believe the officiating will be discussed just as much as the football itself.”
🚨BREAKING: FIFA President Gianni Infantino is looking at possible demotion from his spot and fines of up to £10m‼️
⛔️He is being charged with corruption, favoritism and bribery in favor of Argentina‼️
🚨 THE MASK IS SLIPPING AT FIFA 🚨
Gianni Infantino is finally facing real heat as a formal ethics complaint hits the IOC. Corruption, favoritism, and systemic rigging—the whole rotten system is cracking.
Global South teams are treated as mere props and nations like Egypt get robbed in real time, the establishment plays games with institutional ethics. This isn't a fluke; it's deep-rooted institutional bias designed to protect Western darlings.
Infantino's time is up. The world is watching. Africa is watching. Enough is enough. 👋🛑

🚨 Didier Drogba Blasts VAR Decision in Egypt vs Argentina:
I finally believe Argentina always find the easiest route to progress in the World Cup, and VAR made it obvious tonight.
Thank God VAR didn’t exist in our era. Look at the beautiful run from Hassan and Salah to create that chance - where was the referee then? Was the whistle missing from his hands? He only woke up after they scored.
You could see the reaction from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. I guess he wished he could reverse the second goal by Zizo.
The funny thing is that some fans are already saying Argentina is playing in the African Cup of Nations because they’ve faced mostly African teams since the start of the tournament. But I think yes, they have - and they’re experiencing it well, because Egypt won tonight for me.
Sometimes I blame African teams for not holding onto their leads until the final whistle, but how can they when the referee and VAR always seem to be against them?
We Africans deserve better.
More than 100 petitions on https://t.co/ZM9wf2HIuH are calling for FIFA president Gianni Infantino to resign, after his disciplinary committee lifted a suspension for U.S. striker Folarin Balogun.
Balogun, Team USA's top goal scorer, received a straight red card during last week's match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning he was set to serve a one-match suspension.
Now, critics say the reversal, which came after President Trump called Infantino to request a review, raises questions about political interference in FIFA's decisions.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments. ⬇️
