So true. I often find that when I do my research, have conviction and also DCA into a position I am much more comfortable than when I size big right away. Many of these positions are longer holds, not necessarily quick swing trades and the violent moves need to be part of the expectation. Know what you own but also know your timeline and position size.
@athuinvests Wish I owned more but I’m sitting on my hands. Bought in at 2.90 US, added at 3.50 and then sold around 12k when it first doubled. Left everything else and I’m at around 48k now. Will hold for next 2 years. It’s in my IRA so don’t need it anytime soon.
Agree it’s a tough one. I didn’t buy in at $7 and have been holding since last November. A lot of opportunity cost. It’s crazy to me that after all the news we are still not far above $44 which is my cost basis. Easier to hold if you were an early buyer. But price has chopped for 7 months.
@Aktiehedonist I love this one, have bought it, held it, and then sold it. It seems to be lagging, as does $GEV, after a run up earlier this year but I always check on it. Do you think the time for a run up is coming?
@Sandeman52 Agree 100 percent only caveat is making sure you are recognizing which investments are early discoveries to then become institutional favorites vs small caps that could be pumped due to low volume and will fade out when hype is gone..
