@LivingLakesCA and Columbia Wetlands Stewardship Partners are hiring a wetlands technician for a year, starting May 5th. The full job ad and where to apply to is here: https://t.co/TAdb3sU0vU
We’re looking for grad students for this fully funded project studying biodiversity in urban settings. Check out the #waterloowetlandlab for details. Please share! Start May or September
So if you're interested, please do check out the link above! I'm super excited about fieldwork starting soon, and can't wait to be back in the wetlands!
Do you like wetlands, rivers, and mountains? Do you like beavers, loons, and pondweed? Do you like kayaking, long days on the water, and getting muddy? If yes, maybe you want to come work with me and many awesome people this summer in the Columbia Valley!
But we see a lot of cool fauna and flora, spend time in a spectacular landscape, and our work contributes to understanding and looking after these beautiful wetlands. And sometimes there's even a cute dog or two to make friends with at the end of the day!
We have a job ad: pls send your CV and cover letter describing why you’re a good fit to my email. Pay is $22/h for 37.5 h/week from May-Sept 2023. Must be resident of Waterloo, Ontario and able to travel and work in the field.
The Waterloo Wetland Lab is hiring again! Interested in a #wetland technician #job? Excited to work outdoors, travel, and work on important #research questions about wetland #restoration, #invasivespecies and #pollution? Watch this space: https://t.co/dCQaA8qovQ
My friend @rachelphoenix is in #Crestline, buried under nine feet of snow, behind a ten foot ice wall. Here's her post about what's going on, and her worries about other members of her community:

Round 29 of the #WetlandCup is raised bog vs. beaver wetland! Who will you send through to the FINAL?! Please give it a RT so we can get as many votes as possible
Once AI works out how to do hands then this deepfake crap is going to be one of the biggest problems the world has faced. It has the potential to be extremely damaging and we are sleepwalking into a nightmare with this. I hate everything about it.
