The funded Nature Friendly Schools project has now ended. This account remains live for schools to share their own journey towards becoming ‘nature-friendly’.
After two wonderful years working with 187 schools across England, the funded element of Nature Friendly Schools has now ended. Thank you to our funders and our wonderful partners: The Wildlife Trusts, YoungMinds, Field Studies Council, Sensory Trust and Groundwork UK.
Year 2 had a lovely time in the Meadow this afternoon. Mr Paul helped us roast marshmallows on the fire. They were yummy! 🔥🪵😋 @NatureFSchools@TelfordWrekin
Year 2 - Miss Smith has started Y2 Woodlands over the last couple of weeks with her first group of 15 children. They have explored autumn leaves, did a senses walk around the school grounds and jumped in muddy puddles! @NatureFSchools#OutdoorLearning
This week Squirrels visited the Meadow, we made a ship and became pirates. Please can you remember to send your child in with named wellies every Monday, thank you. @TelfordWrekin@NatureFSchools
This week at science and nature club we continued to learn about autumn leaves and chlorophyll with the help of @SmartiesUKI The green smarties were absorbed! @priscigeeks@MrsPgd @SaraBoothCard @NatureFSchools
preparing the school garden @church_prim for their Wildflower garden and planting a Buddleia bush so they can look after our pollinating insects - what a fabulous project idea. @NatureFSchools @MorrisonsFound1
In the meadow this week we have pretended to make gingerbread men in the kitchen. We then ran like the gingerbread man calling "run, run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man". @NatureFSchools
