⚠️This Gender Alert provides details on the severe impact on women and girls based on consultations with women and UN data alongside recommendations for government, humanitarians and protection and #GBV service providers.
Women told us:
🟡they are worried about going to work due to the risk of being hit by missiles on the way.
🟡 that men are grappling with unemployment because of the conflict, leading to a significant decline in household income.
🟡 olive groves, often people’s only source of income, have been destroyed by Israeli shelling.
Women are disproportionately impacted by the crisis, suffering from mental health struggles, displacement and socioeconomic consequences, and increased risks of gender-based violence, with migrant and refugee communities at heightened risk.
