@manmoderspics It doesn't recognize transgender women as women. How is that not anti-trans bias? It is unwilling to even entertain the idea that it may be wrong about this.
@DesiresAreGrey This makes my blood boil. I'm a trans woman, have a chronic illness, and have had to fight tooth and nail to not be given bs lifestyle adjustments instead of actual medication. And surprise surprise, the medication helped a lot more than being told to drink water and smile more!
@NoidedNomad And you believe this why? How was I socialized trans? My parents never talked about it, I never knew other trans people, trans people were barely even mentioned in school, only as a passing mention in health class IIRC.
@Doomerkat These aren't mutually exclusive. I wanted both, achieved the former before the latter, and was unhappy until I passed, and even for a while after I did pass as I still didn't believe it and couldn't see myself as a woman. It took somewhere between 2 and 3 years to just be happy.
@badjujune Walk feminization? Gait changes on its own with HRT. Beyond that, the degree to which one's walk makes them appear masculine or feminine is negligible, I'd argue it doesn't really even matter.
I'd be curious to see your fashion guide. I'm 6 years in and still learning.
@CatEnjoyer_97@nomersch@AsherahP0le I'm aware, but a lot of people think their shoulders, ribs, hips, or what have you will prevent them from passing. I think really only the face is important.
@nomersch@AsherahP0le Bone structure is not that important as far as I can tell. I'm 6'0" and have bigger shoulders than hips. It's face, voice, hair, chest, and how you dress, in that order. Being skinny probably does me favours too, but I don't have an hourglass figure or anything.
@theunknown31811 I was on estrogen and cyproterone for the first fifteen months, then only estrogen after bottom surgery, then estrogen and progesterone for a bit over three months now (I thought I'd been on it for longer tbh, but that's what my medication tracker says).
@theunknown31811 That sounds about right. My libido plummeted on cyproterone. It stayed that way after bottom surgery until this past year for whatever reason (maybe progesterone, but could also be sensation changing, nerves reconnecting, or my brain just getting used to my body).
@Project_Atlas67@avadare181 This is exactly what she means you dolt. You people say the same thing every time and it's weak. You can't channel a fraction of the transphobia that transgender people can. It's cringe.
@JennyPupDeath Same. I actually liked my childhood all things considered, but it would've been nice to feel comfortable in my body. From age 12 to 18 I knew something was wrong and just had to deal with it getting worse and worse.
@theunknown31811 I think about this often. I feel like I came into existence one day with the memories of some random guy. I don't look like that guy at all though, and I think my brain needs this narrative to make sense of that. Maybe not quite what you're saying, but it makes me think of this.
@puppygirlsteph Didn't know 200mg of prog is the standard dosage. I'm on 100mg and it's been good, but wouldn't mind more for sleep benefits. How has the sedation been for you? Do you feel well rested in the morning? I've been on sleep medication before that can make me sleep too heavily.
@glacevelyn@theunknown31811 I had blood tests done too, as I do every few months for my HRT treatment. My levels didn't decrease at all, remaining above 300 pg/mL on pills just as they were on patches. Don't know what to tell ya. I haven't seen strong evidence to suggest there's much of a difference either.
