You may have heard Duncan Sheik long before you ever knew his name. 🕊️🎵

The Grammy and Tony-winning singer-songwriter has passed away at 56, leaving behind music that quietly became woven into decades of pop culture.

His breakthrough hit “Barely Breathing” became a defining song of the ’90s, while his work later appeared across television in shows like Friends, Glee, Girls, Party of Five and many more!

But Sheik’s legacy stretched far beyond radio. He reinvented himself as a major theater composer ith Spring Awakening, which became a Broadway phenomenon, and later wrote the music and lyrics for the stage adaptation of American Psycho.

That range is what made his career so remarkable. One artist could soundtrack a ’90s TV scene, write a pop hit you still recognize instantly, then turn around and create music for some of modern theater’s boldest productions.

Duncan Sheik’s songs were everywhere, sometimes becoming part of our memories before we even realized they were his. Rest in peace. 🕯️

One of the most recognizable voices in dubbing has gone silent.

Veteran voice actor Ettore Zuim has passed away at 66, leaving behind more than four decades of work across animation, anime, movies, television and video games.

For Disney fans, he became especially memorable as the Brazilian Portuguese voice of Hercules in the 1997 animated classic and David Kawena in Lilo & Stitch. DC fans also knew him as Bruce Wayne / Batman, dubbing Christian Bale throughout The Dark Knight trilogy and portraying the character in games including Batman: Arkham Origins, Arkham Knight and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

His incredible list of characters also included:
