@waldemarszerkus @ShiningScience Using sails requires skills and can be quite difficult, especially close to shore. Many sail boats use small diesel motors for jetteys etc. Perhaps a combo solar with a small electrically controlled sail might be the best of both.

I am grateful to the European Union and to every European leader for adopting the 21st sanctions package against Russia. It is very important that pressure on Russia over the war it started – and refuses to end – continues. This package includes strong measures to curb Russia's revenues, including Ukrainian proposals that have been taken into account. It is crucial to preserve our unity and keep up this pressure. We expect work on the 22nd sanctions package to move forward actively and hope it will deliver additional restrictions that will advance peace and further limit Russia's ability to sustain its war. The use of s684 in this way is far from "normal".  It is my understanding that HMRC have never applied section 684 retrospectively except in relation to these contractor loan schemes and therefore it would be misleading to say that this represents use of HMRC's normal powers.

But Finnish government spending on health was 7.4% in 2022. It's a very good public health system. The NHS costs more as a percentage of GDP.

@nomadcapitalist There some less obvious but higher taxes in the UK. If you are a freelancer and stuck inside the IR35 rules then above £125K you taxes are as follows:
No tax free allowance
45% income tax
2% national insurance tax
13.8% employers tax

So over 60%.
