The outrage is not just over the desecration of the crucifix by a lone Israeli soldier. It's over the fact that people feel deceived when they realise that Israeli soldiers regularly attack Christians and Christian symbols. They were falsely told that there is an alliance with Israel is based on shared values. In reality, the values are fully contradictory and the relationship is one of American subservience driven by blackmail from the likes of Epstein and AIPAC.

Everyone knows Western values and African values are incompatible. When African Muslims murder Christians, the Christians who know about it are outraged, but, implicitly, the media shrugs and thinks there's nothing new there.

What's happening with Israel is that everyone is learning that Western values and Israeli values are also incompatible, despite decades of lies to the contrary.

People get angry when they discover they've been deceived.
