@TWolvesLead@JohnSmithhjeb@RaptorsLead He has a player option after next season and played 77 games this season, averaged 22/6/4 1.5 stocks and shot 48/38/82 and was an All star. He struggled in the playoffs, but he is easily the best player in this deal and great 2nd option. And honestly Raps should not trade him.
@CastielDraven@WalderSports I don’t know if you’re trolling or being serious. CMB literally showed 2 way start potential, if he develops a consistent 3 pt jumper, he will be an elite player. That said, replace with Gradey and a pick plus heavily protected pick, can get the deal done. Otherwise no go.
@_cevapienjoyer @BoFlows @esidery The games I saw him he looked unconditioned. An offseason fully healthy while working on conditioning can definitely work wonders for him. Only time will tell, but as Raps fans we can only hope he overcomes these issues.
@BoFlows @esidery Fairs, I’m not too worried about the Raps defense though, we got Shead, Ja’Kobe, CMB off the bench, but your right, he is a negative defender. I’m more worried about Jakob, we need him to return to his last year form, otherwise we’re cooked lol
@rayyknowsball@IcarusGant Do agree with the injuries, but 2025 was mostly for tanking purposes and this year was an unfortunate injury in the final game which honestly Darko should’ve rested him but wtv. But yeah I do agree, both parties should keep their pgs. Raps should imo try to go after Jamal Murray.
@rayyknowsball@IcarusGant Obv I’m a raptors fan but IQ is not a negative contract imo. Yes he’s slightly overpaid, but he is still a good player, has taken strides in playmaking, and is not a negative defender for his size. Still only 26 and has to enter his prime, can play the 1 or 2, good offball, etc
@222Scottie561 Could a swap for Risacher be in play? Bulls and try to get Jalen Smith, throw in a couple seconds and Gradey. But realistically Sharpe for Gradey should work, maybe we throw in a second. They get to take a flyer on a young guard while we get our backup big. Win-win imo.
@RyanDickison7 Devin Booker and Jamal Murray fit best next to Scottie, Rj, Ingram. Need Poeltl to get reps in the summer and be the same person he was last year. Between the two, Murray fits better imo as he is a traditional pg and I feel like he will flourish playing at home like Rj.
@excusemycasual@bingopoptwo@EricWebbwood@RaptorsShaq My point was if the Mavs think that adding a top pick, Kyrie, and Coop are enough to compete, then they should. Personally, I don’t think so, though I could def be wrong. Hence why I said they can be open to moving Kyrie, to see if they can get young talent, plus pick(s).
@FlaggistheMasia@RaptorsShaq It’s just Iq can be inconsistent at times, but he’s not a bad player. What this post season showed me is that the Raptors are just an elite guard and starting centre away from making a run, competing with the rest of the East. Kyrie may not be the answer, maybe Jamal, LaMelo, etc
@FlaggistheMasia@RaptorsShaq It’s that IQ has 3 year $97.5 million contract left and trying to move off Jakob’s contract who has been very disappointing this year and the back injuries. And quite frankly I think Kyrie could be that number one option this team has been missing especially in clutch time.
@RaptorsShaq@Ausar_Muse To add to that, Scottie guards 1-5 imo way better, while I do believe that Ausar is a better poa defender. However, Scottie’s impact defensively is larger than Ausar’s. Scottie led the Raps to a top 5 defense while missing a starting C for a majority of the season.
@PensareBBall This is me being optimistic but I think the season outcome will ignite a fire inside of him. He fell out of the rotation and I think he knows he’s gotta work hard in the gym. I think he can be like Korver in both offense and team help defender. He showed potential last year.
@EricWebbwood@RaptorsShaq Really, what’s wrong with Kyrie? I only saw some issues with the Celtics and Nets owners, but other than that I’ve seen Kyrie be appreciated and praised by teammates. He is the type of player the Raps are missing, a true number one option. Others are Jamal, D Mitch, maybe LaMelo?
@bingopoptwo@EricWebbwood@RaptorsShaq Obviously depends on where Mavs land in the draft but the Mavs are far from competing. Coop’s the face of the Mavs but they showed they aren’t necessarily in a try to win now mode by trading Ad. At the same time, they don’t have their frp until 2031, so shopping Ky makes sense.
@WalderSports Outside of the defense, I think Gradey can overcome his shooting struggles and bounce back. However, if some kind of big deal does develop, I think Gradey will be included, as he’s only 22, and can still become a rotational player, like he showed last year. Still believe in him.
@Yesavage2HOF Absolutely not. It’s an excellent trade given the price, and people may disagree with me, but I actually think he will be in the Raps future. Our leading scorer in the season and has not figured it out in the playoffs, but he will. Now add a top 10 pg in the league to this team.
@duckshoe@NDTalksBall Dude ngl, we wouldn’t be in the offs without Ingram. I understand he hasn’t been himself the last few games, but he is still a big part of the offence. He will be back, kudos to Darko for keeping him out and giving the hot hand Battle consistent minutes in the second half tho.
