So for months my 84 year old dad has been to and from to his GP with pain in his foot, the ‘care’ consisted of endless blood tests with weeks of waits for results, some topical treatments , then waits for weeks for proper treatment.

10 days ago he was admitted to hospital with black toes. Yesterday they attempted some procedure.

Today they told him they need to amputate his left leg.

This is ‘our NHS’. Pass them around until it’s too late to act.

So now I have a father who will essentially lose what little independence he had to become dependent on me for most of his daily needs.

This isn’t because of a lack of money, it’s a complete lack of culpability and compassion.

It should rot.
