A contract checkmark tells you the dev can’t rug the code. It doesn’t tell you that one wallet is the market, or that the hype is a bot farm pointing you at a phishing page.

1. A memecoin with 120,000 holders and a $164K market cap just passed a “rug check.”
Do the math: that’s $1.36 per holder.
That’s not a community. It’s a scam most checkers can’t see. 🧵

2. Real coins run $50–500 per holder. $1.36 means the tokens were sprayed as dust to 120,000 fake wallets.
Scammers do it for two reasons 👇

3. Fake legitimacy — “120K holders!” looks like a massive community. It’s bots.
And it games the safety check — spreading supply across 120K wallets lowers the top-holder %, so it passes “clean distribution.”

4. The tell takes 5 seconds: divide market cap by holders.
Under ~$10/holder = manufactured. Walk away, no matter how “clean” it looks.
Most rug-checkers miss this. We don’t. 🛡️

1. I built a tool to catch Solana memecoin rugs.

Then I ignored it and lost money.

Here’s the trade — and why it’s the best thing that’s happened to the product. 👇

2. The tool is a safety gate. It reads the chain and tells you if a coin is a scam contract: mint/freeze authority, liquidity locks, holder concentration, insider clusters.

A coin came back 🟢 CLEAN. Authorities revoked. LP locked. Clean distribution. Near-perfect on-chain score.

3. But “clean contract” is only half the check.

The second layer asks: is the attention real, or manufactured? Are real people buying — or is this engineered to make ME the exit liquidity?

That check came back: MANUFACTURED. Vote-spam. ~60–70% fake accounts. No organic base.

4. So my own tool told me: the contract won’t rug you, but the hype is fake — you’d be the exit.

And then… I bought it anyway.

Oversized. On tilt. Didn’t even run my own second check until after I’d aped in. Every rule I built — broken by the guy who built it.

5. You already know how this ends.

Pump → plateau → cliff. Dumped ~50% overnight. That’s exactly what “manufactured” means: the coordinated hype stops, and there’s nothing real underneath.

The tool was right. I was the weak link.

6. A “rug tool” that green-lights every clean coin is worthless — that’s every hype account on here.

Mine said “clean ≠ safe to hold, and you’re tilting — don’t.” I ignored it and paid the tuition. The tool passed. I failed.

7. That’s the whole thesis.

Most tools sell you the dream (“this 100x’s!”). This one sells you the truth (“you’re about to be exit liquidity”).

Boring? Maybe. But it’s the only honest lane in a rigged game — and it just proved itself on my own money.
