HCM Dr. @himantabiswa addressed the media and briefed on the key decisions taken by the Assam Cabinet:

✅ Assam Compressed Biogas Policy approved
✅ Assam Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Subordinate Service (Amendment) Rules, 2026 approved
✅ Reserve Forest status granted to Rakhyasini Proposed Reserve Forest and Tharko Nalbari Proposed Reserve Forest in Goalpara

Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji telephoned me a short while ago to review the ongoing relief efforts in the wake of the #AssamFloods.

He enquired about the situation on the ground and reassured that the Government of India will continue to provide every assistance required for relief, restoration and rebuilding. He further reiterated that all agencies and resources of the Central Government are at the disposal of the people of Assam during this difficult time.

Acting promptly on reports of feral horses roaming through Dibrugarh town, our Forest Department safely rescued them to prevent any mishap.

Despite efforts, so far no owner could be traced.

To ensure their long term safety and well being, all the rescued horses have now been relocated to Sisu Chapori, where they have access to ample grazing land, adequate fodder and a secure natural habitat.

Assam will soon have 7 dedicated spaces in New Delhi for our people visiting the national capital.

Alongside the existing Assam House, three new complexes are coming up in Central Delhi and Dwarka, with one featuring a Naamghar and Convention Hall.

A Karbi Bhawan and a Dimasa Bhawan are also under construction in Dwarka.
