Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.

Our demand is just. The delay is not.

☕ Andhra Pradesh’s Coffee Story is Growing! 🌱

AP is emerging as an important coffee-producing region, particularly in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, with around 79,145 acres under coffee cultivation.
🌿 Arabica – 60%
🌿 Robusta – 40%

The state has around 1,375 coffee processing units, while a private plant has the capacity to process nearly 23,000 tonnes annually. More private investments are also in the pipeline.

📈 Andhra Pradesh’s coffee exports stood at $339.33 million, highlighting the growing global demand for its coffee.

They call it “Performance Linked Incentive.” We call it “POSITION Linked Incentive.”

Scale I–III: demonetisation at midnight, Jan Dhan in villages, Mudra, KCC, APY, PMJJBY, one customer, one form, one target at a time. And the reward? 15 days’ pay.

Meanwhile, Scale IV & above can get up to 360 days’ basic pay.

360 vs 15.

If this is “performance,” perhaps the real qualification is simply POSITION.

Same bank. Same targets. Same storm.
But apparently, only some are rowing.

A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.
