In 1987 my Mom was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of Minnesota.

At that time, legends Vivian Stringer, Tara VanDerveer, Lin Dunn, Rene Portland, Don Perrelli and others were @bigten head coaches.

As a Big Ten Head Coach she made $40,000 a year. She retired after the 1987 season. Below is a snapshot of her bio in the women’s athletics staff directory when she was hired in 1977-78.

Two nights ago on @espn nearly 12.5 million people watched @IowaWBB and @LSUwbkb in the Elite 8.

So proud of this kid! Had to take Freshman year hoops off rehabbed an injury and came back 💪🏻. Played summer ball with 2 high school programs and club ball locally for some great coaches. Put her time in and became a starter. Super positive team of players!🏀
