@BefittingFacts Trust them to fix accountability and give harsh punishment unlike India where we don't have a clue about what's going in Morbi bridge collapse case
Let us be honest about what happened in Karnprayag.
Locals were attacked with swords. They were fighting back with bare hands. The government watched, negotiated and ultimately folded in front of the Nihangs. No strong action. No clear stand. Just administration doing what it does best in Uttarakhand when things get uncomfortable.
Managing optics.
Into that vacuum stepped Ashish Negi.
You may not agree with his politics. You may not like his style. His statement may have been blunt or loose by your standards. None of that is the point.
The point is he showed up. He took a stand for the people of Uttarakhand when the system chose silence. When locals who fought with bare hands against swords were left without a voice in the corridors of power, he gave them one.
A government that cannot stand for its own people when they are under attack has no right to expect those people to stay quiet when someone else speaks for them.
Uttarakhand remembers who stood up. It also remembers who did not.
@joraman100 you got ti be kidding me.....
