Project Naval Distinction⚓️ was founded to promote recognition of the service and sacrifice of ALL branches of 🇨🇦Canada's Armed Forces: the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Achieved entirely by volunteers, in our first 4⃣ years, we...
While the CAF employs 700 members across the US, they meanwhile say they can't employ - during a recruiting & retention crisis - the Officer X whistleblower in the US. Meanwhile Officer X (serial sexual misconduct accused) is still serving & supervising #Cdnpoli@davidpugliese
Yesterday, we celebrated #CanadianArmedForcesDay at the Embassy of Canada. More than 700 CAF members serve across the U.S., strengthening North American security alongside our allies every day. Quiet professionalism. Unwavering dedication. Service to Canada. 🇨🇦

Proud to welcome HMCS William Hall – Canada’s 4th Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship, commissioned in 2024 – to the Thames, where she’s moored alongside HMS Belfast until June 7. ⚓

@Murray_Brewster The entire honours and recognition system needs a review for abuse and gatekeeping. Bad actors in the chain of command have perverted and weaponized it. #Cdnpoli
11 years after OP HONOUR and this is what they come up with? #Cdnpoli

@ReadyAyeReady When we proposed naming HMCS Haida as RCN flagship - we succeeded - the senior RCN leadership opposed it and used the possibility of the RCN becoming/appearing to be financially responsible for HMCS Sackville as one of their weak, short-sighted reasons. Total vindication.
Footage shows a Canadian soldier making the worst possible choice during field training, falling asleep beside an M-777 howitzer. 🇨🇦💀
His teammates responded with the most brutal wake up call imaginable, turning the artillery gun into a battlefield alarm clock. 😂📞💥
@markrmcqueen@nationalpost Honest? Topshee personally promised to look into & follow up re the Officer X case & reprisals against the whistleblower that were unfolding under his leadership. He lied. He didn't follow up. Whistleblower went public.
Officer X is still serving & in charge of civilian children.
The longest continuous campaign of WW2… the BofA was an all-out effort by the navy, merchant marine, and industry. It was a multinational success that literally changed the tide of the war. Lessons of our past are ever-present. We are grateful for the sacrifices of who gave us what often take for granted today. 🫡
@MFWCollins Even in the summer it is still out of the way & nearly invisible. Pointing this out to a senior officer who was personally invested in the delayed & over-budget monument subjected our Founder to petty, vindictive, biased, & abuse-of-power treatment. Truly disgraceful behaviour.
Re the RCN monument:
"... initially chose a site in Ottawa at Richmond Landing near the Royal Canadian Navy Monument, but veterans criticized the decision, calling the location isolated and difficult to access, particularly in winter." #Cdnpoli

@LeBrunJames81 Also lost was Lt Leslie Ward, father of Peter Ward. Peter would go on to serve in the Naval Reserve and be one of the five saviours of HMCS Haida, individuals who mortgaged their homes and took out loans to prevent Canada's "Fightingest" ship from being sent to the scrapyard.
"The Canadian Armed Forces, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and the Communications Security Establishment, Canada’s cyberspy agency, are currently excluded from the [whistleblowing] system." #Cdnpoli

Hey👋 Canada🇨🇦, #dyk that if you filed a complaint TODAY that the federal government unlawfully accessed/disclosed your personal information, you'll be waiting⌚ at least 6️⃣ MONTHS🗓️ (and counting) before the Privacy Commissioner opens your file? #Cdnpoli

1/9 (A Thread) I very rarely do this but DND/PSPC/DIA left me no choice. What you’re about to read is an important accountability lesson for Canada’s government - in a space where tens of billions of dollars are being spent - or about to be spent.
👇 This on top of recent changes to allow Feds to delete records, such as Teams conversations🗣️, after a very short period. Information - and access to it - is air🌬️ in the fight⚔️ for accountability⚖️ of gov't. Anyone else in Canada🇨🇦 finding it harder to breathe 😷? #Cdnpoli
