SSB CAPSULE FOR NAVY CHILDREN SCHOOL

It has been an endeavour of NFMC to prepare the students of NCS/KVs for SSB by Veterans who are Qualified IO/GTO/TO. As earlier, a workshop on SSB training was conducted from 7-12 Jun 2026, for Navy Children School, Navy Nagar Colaba. Fifty (50) students of 11th & 12th class registered for the SSB mentorship program organised by the School Director , Cdr Vanya . An introduction to the type of tests conducted at SSBs such as OIR tests, PPDT screening test, PPT, WAT, SRT, SD, GTO, GP, HGT,FGT,Command Task, IOs etc was imparted by Captain Sanjay G Karve, NM (G) (02055-W)(NFMC MUM-0507), former GTO; Cdr Sulakshan K Sharma (70147-Z)(NFMC MUM-1030) former TO/IO and Cdr SK Patnaik (01513-N)(NFMC MUM-MUM-0176)former TO/IO. The students made the sessions so interactive and lively that even at the end of each session nobody felt tired . Cdr Vanya, Director NCS, and Mrs Ritu, Headmistress NCS were present at the Valedictory function. The program ended on a healthy note authorising the students to message/ call up the assessors anytime in case of any doubt. On the final day of the workshop certificate of Participation was awarded to the participants. This noble endeavor has been the hallmark of NCMC activity for the past 7 years.
