@JackoRugby Not sure yet how seriously teams are taking this competition. Hope it finds its feet because rugby needs a genuinely meaningful competition to get fans engaged in the international windows.
@JackoRugby Rugby needs to do something to reduce the ease with which points are scored. It’s changed the game beyond recognition and taken away much of its appeal.
@JackoRugby Rugby generally has a problem. Scores are too commonplace to mean much - rather like basketball. Part of football’s appeal is that every score matters. Rugby seems to have lost that, at least for the most part.
@JackoRugby Great win today. But they could have gone into the last round with the title in their own hands. Post match they didn’t seem cross enough about letting that slip. It would be a pity if they don’t realise the potential of this golden generation that they have.
@JackoRugby@scarlets_rugby Not even sure that England were that impressive. Impatient and not at all clinical at times. The score might have been anything otherwise.
@paulmotty@gambling_com Good article. Interesting times! No second preference voting in the 2026 Senedd election though. If Con don’t pick up the system should favour Ref in terms of Most Votes and Most Seats. But it should also make it very difficult for them to get a majority or to form a government.
@stephenjones9 Regional rugby left some of the country feeling they had no one to support in the professional game.
Many more felt that way after the Celtic Warriors disappeared.
Now WRU are going to ensure the entire country feels that way.
@RJWatCAP The sheer stupidity. It couldn’t succeed and was never going to do more than provide amusement for Swansea’s decision makers and embarrassment to all involved with the Scarlets.
@ChalynRugby Lots of narratives based on refereeing controversy and Lions positives. But you’re right - this was the turning point and was almost immediately compounded by switching off to gift Russell his touch finder.
@JackoRugby I suppose the trouble is that getting a magic wand would be a miracle - and a coach being given time in the modern game is much less likely.
@EPriceJourno This kind of treatment from Westminster, happening repeatedly, is more than a political decision that damages us.
It seems to convey a fundamental disrespect for our nation - and a disrespect for Wales’s (Labour) government too.
It’s time for Wales to wake up.
