Horace Greeley Trumbauer was the presiding elder of the Pennsylvania Conference of the Holiness Christian Church when it united with the Pentecostal Church of the Nazarene in 1908.
He was one of two key figures in this lesser-known merger in early Nazarene history.

Bertha Munroe (1887–1983) was appointed a founding member of the faculty of @EasternNazarene and its first academic dean. She retired in 1968, having served the ENC campus community for over half a century.

Miss Lillian Cole Short enrolled as a student at @EasternNazarene in the fall of 1910. After graduating, she was the first missionary to be sent directly to Africa by the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Eswatini from 1916 to 1926.

Dr. V. H. Lewis (1912–2000) was the seventeenth General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene. He was elected at the fifteenth General Assembly in Kansas City, Missouri, USA in 1960. He served as a general superintendent until his retirement in 1985.
The Twentieth General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene was held in Kansas City in 1980. It will return to Kansas City for the first time since then for the Thirty-First General Assembly and Conventions in 2027.
