Patrice Evra on Andy Robertson leaving Liverpool at the end of the season:
🗣️ “People need to understand Andy Robertson is not just a Liverpool legend, he’s one of the greatest left-backs the Premier League has ever seen.
This guy came from Hull City with almost nobody expecting him to reach that level, then turned into a machine.
Intensity, leadership, aggression, assists, mentality he had everything.
What made Robertson special was his hunger. He played every game like someone trying to prove himself even after winning everything.
Honestly, for years he made that left side at Liverpool feel impossible to attack against.
Players like Robertson don’t just leave a club they leave an era behind.”
Pep Guardiola is much more than just an unbelievable manager.
He spoke up for the people of Palestine, Sudan and Congo while others looked away.
Pep used his platform to defend our shared humanity. That will never be forgotten. Thank you, Pep.
🚨Jürgen Klopp on Andy Robertson leaving Liverpool:
🗣️Klopp: “Look, what can I say about Andy?…wow. This boy came in for £8 million and played like a £100 million warrior every single week. He didn’t just wear the shirt, he fought for it. He gave this club his lungs, his heart, and his soul”.
“For me, he is the best left-back I have ever coached. Not just because of his quality, but because of who he is; relentless, fearless, always there when the team needed him most.”
“Andy was instrumental in everything we achieved together; The Premier League, the beautiful champions league night in Madrid... none of it happens without Robbo.”
“When a player like Andy leaves, it’s not just football you lose… it’s character, it’s spirit, it’s a piece of the soul of this team. He would be missed by everyone at Liverpool, but one thing is certain Liverpool will forever be his home, and he will never walk alone”
The reason I know I’m so disconnected from this Liverpool team is I used to & watch Robbo & Milner rate biscuits, & now I couldn’t care less about any of this lot. They all just wind me up & it feels like none of them care about wearing this shirt. Hope they never enjoy biscuits.
Stevie G ten minutes into the overlap saying we've been shite from the final against Newcastle last year, finally other people are calling it out. This ain't just a this season issue, it's been going on for more than a year now ffs!
It's almost a tragedy that we are supposed to move on and think of a replacement. Because if you give me the choice, I am spending a month rewatching every single goal he scored for us.
He will never know the amount of joy he has brought me throughout the years.
