Chelsea fans are way too quick to scapegoat their own players. At the start of the season, Colwill was suddenly labelled mid after a poor run of form. Then Martínez wasn't considered an upgrade on Sánchez. Hato was deemed not good enough after one mistake against Hull City. You even wanted Quenda sent out on loan, and now Palestra is the latest target.
It's always someone new to blame. You guys are too quick to turn on your own players. Give them time to settle, develop and prove themselves. 😂💔
Desde el Chelsea FC queremos enviar nuestras más sinceras condolencias a la familia de Jesús de Miguel, a sus compañeros y a todo el CD Tenerife.
Todo nuestro cariño y apoyo en este momento tan difícil. 💙
I’m starting to think we may have misunderstood Xabi Alonso’s handling of Romeo Lavia and Estêvão.
From the outside, it was easy to question why Henderson and Neto were getting more trust ahead of two players with much higher technical ceilings.
But perhaps Alonso wasn't simply choosing his preferred players. Maybe he wanted the younger ones to improve certain aspects of their game before giving them greater responsibility.
Now look at their responses.
Lavia has completed two games in the same week for the first time and is suddenly looking like a monster in midfield.
Estêvão worked on the basics Alonso demanded, finally got his start against Manchester United and delivered a statement performance.
Sometimes good man-management isn't about giving young players everything because of their talent. It's about making them earn their opportunities and ensuring they're ready to take full advantage when they arrive.
If this continues, Alonso deserves serious credit for how he's handled both players.
@AllampardBlue Ambos estão dando conta e merecem uma boa sequência. São presente e futuro.
Eles e Estevão, Quenda, Hato e palestra não me preocupam. Já Pedro Neto e Fofana ainda sim
