I don’t usually do private posts, but apparently today marks 24 years of marriage to this Teddy Bear of mine.

And yes, he’s a teddy bear because, honestly, he’s nothing like most of the men in this world. Can you imagine if he were? Either I would be in jail by now, or some of them would!

Because frankly, I would never have survived the mean in-laws, the 759 girlfriends, the constant “usai u dae go, usai u de kam?”, “wae me chop?”, “why you late?”, “why you still wan learn book?”, “anor able you family problems?”, “why you de always criticise government?”, or “why you always de bring people dem problem na me head?”

God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave me Martin Michael. I have always believed that my Teddy Bear is God’s way of saying, “You are blessed.”

For 24 years, he has been my peace, my biggest supporter, and the one person who never tried to shrink my spirit or clip my wings.

Awww, Teddy Bear. ❤️ I’m missing you… even your wicked jokes. The kind that make me wonder how somebody can look at a perfectly innocent woman and say, “If ah bin nor say dis uman na so e tan lek, Aor don lef am na Salad Ground saful.” 😒😂
