Several oceans away, on the other side of the planet, Iran's borders are marked in yellow.

The little circle in red is the Strait of Hormuz.

Operating off our shores, the US military is now attempting to dictate how our Powerful Armed Forces should conduct target practice in their own turf.

CENTCOM is also requesting "professionalism" from a national military the U.S. Government has listed as a "terrorist organization", all while recognizing the right of that same "terrorist organization" to conduct military drills!

This is the level of absurdity the world is now facing, and which European governments have actively decided to embrace.

The IRGC has always been, and still remains, the protector of peace and stability in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz. In our region, it is wisely known as a formidable force which has proven itself on the battlefield against both terrorists and invading militaries.

Freedom of navigation and safe passage of commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz are of vital importance for Iran, as much as it is for our neighbors. The presence of outside forces in our region has always caused the exact opposite of what is declared: promoting escalation instead of de-escalation.

Returned to Tehran after a two-day visit to Tajikistan.

In Dushanbe, I met Foreign Minister Sirojidin Muhriddin and Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyon. I also participated in the political consultations with Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda.

Iran and Tajikistan are blessed with strong bonds of friendship rooted in our common language, culture, civilization, history and religion.

In all meetings, both sides expressed their determination to build on these commonalities to further strengthen our ties.

On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I yesterday presented a reasonable and actionable plan to E3/EU counterparts to avert an unnecessary and avoidable crisis in the coming days.

Instead of being met with engagement on the substance of this plan, Iran is now faced with a litany of excuses and outright deflection, including the farcical claim that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not represent the entire political establishment.

I am glad that President Macron acknowledges that the proposal I presented is reasonable. But he, and the world, should also know that I have the full support of the entirety of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including my country's Supreme National Security Council.

The reality may be that the E3/EU diplomatic apparatus is, in fact, the one that is apparently out of commission.

It is therefore now high time for the UN Security Council to intervene and choose diplomacy over confrontation. The stakes could not be higher.

Iran has already done its part:

1- Signing an agreement with the IAEA which opens a new chapter of cooperation, in line with our domestic and international obligations, despite the unlawful bombing of our safeguarded nuclear facilities.

2- Introducing a creative, fair, and balanced proposal which addresses genuine concerns and is mutually beneficial. Turning this idea into action can be prompt and resolve the respective bottom lines to avert a crisis.

There is a way forward, but Iran cannot be the sole responsible actor.

It is not just that the E3 has no legal, political, or moral entitlement to invoke "snapback", and that even if they did, "use or lose it" doesn't work.

It's that the correct expression for the E3's dilemma is "use it *and* lose it". Or better yet, "use it and lose it *all*".

Our joint letter with my colleagues, the Foreign Ministers of China and Russia, signed in Tianjin reflects the firm position that the European attempt to invoke “snapback” is legally baseless and politically destructive. By declaring the E3’s move null and void, we have placed on record that no party can erase the sequence of events: it was the United States that first violated the JCPOA and Resolution 2231, and it was Europe that subsequently chose to align with unlawful sanctions instead of honoring its own commitments. These undeniable facts must frame any serious discussion at the Security Council.

We have also reaffirmed a fundamental principle of international law: rights and obligations cannot be separated. States that fail to fulfill their own commitments cannot claim the benefits of an agreement they have undermined. The credibility of multilateral diplomacy depends on this logic. What is at stake is not only Iran’s rights but the integrity of international agreements themselves. If selective compliance and procedural abuse are tolerated, the very foundation of collective security will be fatally weakened.

The primary function of the Security Council is to act on behalf of the international community to maintain peace and security. What the E3 proposes betrays this mission, turning the Council into an instrument of coercion rather than a guardian of global stability. The urgent task before us is to restore international law and build upon it to give diplomacy the ground it needs to succeed.

The UNSC members stand at a decisive moment: either back the Russia-China draft resolution for technical extension and diplomacy, or trigger snapback with grave consequences. The E3’s reaction to the draft will ultimately show whether they are truly committed to diplomacy or pushing the crisis forward.

Iran, a nation with a rich culture originating from 7000 years of civilization, will never respond to the language of threat and intimidation. Iranians have never bowed down before any foreigners and respond only to respect.

Iran knows exactly what happened during the recent American-Israeli aggression, both to us and our adversaries—including the extent of blows that are still being censored. If aggression is repeated, we will not hesitate to react in a more decisive manner and in a way that will be IMPOSSIBLE to cover up.

More than a million Iranians need medical radioisotopes produced by the Tehran Research Reactor, an American-supplied facility fuelled by 20%-enriched uranium. Iran also needs enrichment to fuel our nascent nuclear power reactors.

No one in their right mind would abandon the fruits of tremendous investment in homegrown and peaceful technology which is saving lives—and simply because bulling foreigners demand it.

The recent unlawful bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities has proven what we have always stated: there is no "military solution". If there are concerns about the possible diversion of our nuclear program into non-peaceful purposes, the "military option" proved incapable—but a negotiated solution may work.

All should know that we Iranians have NOT BOUGHT our PEACEFUL nuclear program; we have BUILT IT WITH BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS. The technology and know-how that our FORMIDABLE human resources have developed CANNOT be destroyed by bombings. Yes, our enrichment facilities are severely damaged, but our DETERMINATION IS NOT.

#Gaza’s #starvation premeditated?

On 16 December 2021, only #Israel & the #UnitedStates voted against a landmark UN resolution 76/166 recognizing access to #food as a human right.

The world stood united—the Right to Food Resolution was endorsed by the whole UN membership while these two rejected it outright.

Attn: the resolution explicitly reaffirms the prohibition of starvation as a method of warfare under IHL.

Didn't their opposition to that resolution indicate a premeditated policy of using food as a weapon of war?

Negotiating with Israel on how to manage what remains of Gaza and West Bank, in Brussels, NY or elsewhere, is an utter dishonor international law.

"Each state must immediately review and suspend all ties with Israel. Their military, strategic, political, diplomatic, economic,  relations - both imports and exports -  and to make sure that their private sector, insurers, banks, pension funds, universities and other goods and services providers in the supply chains do the same."

"Treating the occupation as business as usual translates into supporting or providing aid or assistance to the unlawful presence of Israel in the OPT. These ties must be terminated as a matter of urgency. ..I mean cutting ties with Israel as a whole: Cutting ties only with the “components” of it in the oPt is not an option."

In a letter addressed to UNSG @Antonioguterres, the President of the Security Council, EU High Rep Kaja and members of the UN Security Council, I have outlined why the E3 lacks any legal, political, and moral standing to invoke the mechanisms of the JCPOA and UN Resolution 2231 (2015).

Through their actions and statements, including providing political and material support to the recent unprovoked and illegal military aggression of the Israeli regime and the US; rejection of the main pillars of the JCPOA; and their longstanding and ongoing failure to uphold their commitments, the E3 have relinquished their role as “Participants” in the JCPOA, making any attempt to reinstate terminated UNSC Resolutions null and void.

Iran responded to the unilateral U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA by first exhausting the accord's dispute resolution mechanisms before gradually implementing remedial measures under Paragraph 36 of the JCPOA, going to great lengths to convince other then-"Participants" to return to compliance with their obligations. However, the E3 have reneged on their commitments and actively contributed to the so-called U.S. “maximum pressure” policy, and recently, the military aggression against our people too. Actors with such a record ought to be the last to claim “good faith”.

The E3 cannot and should not be allowed to undermine the credibility of the UN Security Council by abusing a Resolution to which they themselves have not been committed. The E3 must heed their own advice to the US in their letter of 20 Aug 2020 and “refrain from any action that would only deepen divisions in the Security Council or that would have serious adverse consequences on its work”.

As stressed in my letter, “Iran has shown that it is capable of defeating any delusional 'dirty work' but has always been prepared to reciprocate meaningful diplomacy in good faith”.

If the Coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Commission believes that the objective of any potential negotiation is "ending Iran’s nuclear program", it means that:

- EU High Representative @kajakallas disregards the provisions of the NPT, which explicitly affirm the right of all signatories to develop, research, and use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

- The provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the JCPOA no longer hold any validity for its official Coordinator, thereby rendering the so-called snapback mechanism baseless.

- The participation and role of the European Union and its member states, plus UK, in any future negotiation would be irrelevant and therefore meaningless.
