NO, losers of 4 straight, travel to CAR to try to gain some positive momentum and grab a share of the division lead into their week 10 bye.

Last time they played, CAR got a quick 28-0 lead but NO came back to lose 43-50.

The Saints announce the retirement of long time Captain Cameron Jordan.

Jordan, a 1st rd pick in 2011, spent his whole career with the Saints, amassing over 125 sacks in NO.

He will retire as a pillar of the NO D for 14 years up to this year’s magical run.

94 will be retired.

The New Orleans Saints entered the season with low expectations and ended up the 2 seed in the NFC.

Not only did they host a playoff game, but after beating GB and ATL for the third time, they hosted the NFC Champ Game where they fell to the dominant Eagles.

The Saints travelled to Atlanta for a quasi-NFC South Title Game and the 2 teams went blow for blow in a hotly contested battle. We were a touch sharper and held off the Falcons 35-28 to claim the division.

Expectations were low, direction unclear. The new Saints regime stepped in and reframed the thinking. Week by week and game by game, the team showed up and dealt with what they were given. That approach led to a win over CAR and with it, a playoff berth.
