if this mentality just painted some sentences afore, does affect the routine, choice and use of cost expensive investigations that in a bit betters the level of prevention of our disease, then the likelihood of generating more variables is decreased.
Yes, this input of variables come in history and a physical examination but if the mentality of 'extreme resource conservation' as occurs in low socio-economic conditions,
It is possible that just like in the deep learning story, new likely sub-clinical diagnoses could be generated if random more variables are unravelled to become inputs.
This first step is not altogether the last. Furthermore, a new likely pattern of MOA is generated and almost simultaneously, this new pattern of MOA is tested and tried by fire. It should pass oo😀. This iteration is done till six sigma.
As a Senior Consultant, the reason I haven't raised my voice is simple:
When the interns are gone, I will gladly show up at 5AM, clerk 80 patients, draw the blood, and run the night calls myself.
I am superhuman. Obviously.
As a Senior Nursing Officer, the reason I am silent is obvious:
I have no problem running three wards alone, fixing lines, tracking vitals, delivering babies, doing the paperwork.
I don't need hands. I have dedication.
As a Policymaker, the reason I haven't spoken is elegant:
The interns are a budget problem I solved by terming the students.
My children are not doing internship in Uganda, after all.
As a Patient, the reason I haven't complained is clear:
Even if the doctor cutting me open has worked 36 hours without food, just cut me open and take the baby out.
Hunger sharpens the hands. Everyone knows this.
As a Citizen, the reason I am unbothered is rational:
None of my children is a medic.
I have my pastor.
The system runs on miracles. Always has.
This policy is brilliant.
Let's all stay quiet and watch the magic happen.
Currently at the Accident and Emergency Unit of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), attending to one of the victims of the recent Angwan Rukuba attack.
A man was brought in, badly injured. He said his name is Tayo Johnson, and he’s from Gombe. He was only passing through when he got caught up in the violence.
Sadly, he lost his phone and bag during the attack, and right now, he has no relative or contact person with him.
He mentioned he works at TJ Printing Press in Gombe, and that he knows people around Plateau Riders in Jos, especially those in printing—he specifically mentioned someone linked to Mohammed Printing Press.
Please, if you know Tayo Johnson, or anyone connected to these places, kindly reach out or come to JUTH A&E.
This is a moment where humanity matters. Let’s help reunite him with his people 🙏 — at J.U.T.H.
