A fire broke out at Gacharage Girls Secondary lakini Murang’a Fire & Rescue responded haraka sana wakawaevacuate students na staff safe with Zero casualties.
When things are working, you don't need pressers to tell Kenyans they're working.
Kitambo disaster zilikuwa zinahappen the minister in charge anatamani amezwe na dunia. Hawa wa siku hizi wanashow up na chopper na security wasipakwe uchafu na commoners.
With or without knowing, this is how you co-regulate someone who is in deep distress. You allow them space to vent, get the energy off their crumbling bodies, while remaining calm, close. And you can see the man is allowing himself to be held.
In high school, one of our dorms was set on fire by a student(s). One of the first students to respond said they found the main door was locked from the outside. Luckily the second door was only locked from the inside and never under lock and key all students managed to leave.
I would argue that school fires is more than a structural problem. It's a philosophical one. We just don't trust (or like) teenagers, and we teachers don't teach them to be responsible. We lock them up as a substitute for teaching them responsibility. How hard is it to give one student the keys and remind them to take care of the rest, open the door if there's an emergency? We just don't care for our children. We don't give them a chance to be responsible.

Who does that in an emergency situation?
🧵Folks, I see a direct line between today’s boycotts and the 2024 protests on Finance Bill. The 2024 movement set a clear political boundary, proving that there is a hard public limit on how much the government can tax Kenyans. 1/5

Sooo in my sociology class, which often has a lot of gossip, our lecturer said, "the big man once went by himself to see the madam but car got stuck in the mud so he hid in the bush. When his bodyguards realized he was missing his closest bodyguard suspected he could have gone
