This is about controlling the Strait of Otranto, not just about an island. Rama went to Israel in February. Agreed to a datacenter and to a drone factory in albania. Also there is a wetlands part of the project where their partner is the local mafia, with ties to the italian mafia, not even close to exagerating. I was at that beach in March, as I do whenever I am back home as it is heavenly. We are very kind and welcoming people, despite our rep, but this is way too much.

What is terrifying is that he is partnering with the Albanian mafia in this project. The "private" island is of strategic military significance. It controls the strait of Otranto. That is a gift by the Albanian PM but the wetlands are owned by an albanian crime lord tied to the italian mafia. The albanian courts considered the paperwork for ownership as Fake, the court case is ongoing in appeals. I wish this was me BS-ing but this is who he is partnering with on the wetlands part of the project...

Lets talk facts:

1. The private piece of land is owned by an individual with a long history of ties to human traficking, and alleged ties to the Sacra Corona Unita in Italy. His paperwork for ownership of the land was found to be a forgery by the albanian tribunals. The island is a strategic military asset that controls the strait of Otranto and not yours to gift to anyone.
2. The Protest is massive. 2-8K is a horrible lie and casts doubts on everything you say.
3. The Protest is totally organic, and has 0 political support from the Albanian opposition.
4. Albania under your leadership has become a concrete jungle. Look at Saranda, look at Butrinti, look at Kalaja Vlore, look at DRIMADHES which has been ruined for ever. Some of the most stunning beaches in Europe have been demolished due to horrific environmental crimes.
5. This is your 4rth mandate through gerrymandering, massive vote-bying and by now your government is widely considered the most corrupt Albanian gov since the end of communism. This is a revolt by Gen Z against your rule.

Your arrogance, which hides ignorance and spiritual/material corruption, is not enough to blind anyone to the facts. Be graceful and take a bow so people have a chance to appreciate the good you have done and forget the evil.

This is a complex deal, but in the Zvernec part of the deal (not the Island which is owned by the Albanian Gov and has strategic military importance) the land that is to be developed is claimed by an individual with strong ties to the Italian mafia of Puglia. His ownership is challenged in courts, but to no avail. This individual was allegedly involved in people and drugs trafficking in the 90 (very well known in Albania). The ties to the Sacra Corona Unita are there for certain. If Kushner is working for them I have no idea, but this is a dirty deal through and through.

The information is incremental, as are reserve draws. At this point the incremental development is the status quo. Incremental increases to the price of oil would have accumulated by now, weren't it for constant promises that the conflict would be resolved. The real news is that this conflict was supposed to end in two weeks, two months ago. That doesn't appear to be in the cards in the near future as the sides are miles apart. There is plenty in the Northeast, but the Adriatic is not as sexy as the Ionian. Check out Gjipe, Drimadhes in Albania which are part of the Ionian sea. Zvernec is the southern point of the Adriatic, it is quite dramatic with wildberries and wildlife 50 m from the sea. It was a real marvel the deeper you went.

@business There is a flag on the fence. Albanians are deeply pro US and had a positive relationship with Israel prior to this. Right now there are massive protests against this project.
