@ward_shane@JDaviesPhD Agreed. Now I don’t have to respond to the original post. The proposed binary isn’t real for neurodiverse women of color, for example who cannot access treatment due to structural barriers.
Our entire team is fanned out across Oakland talking to residents about the recalls, local measures and state propositions. And of course, the presidential election. https://t.co/kyCh8bHvkC
Dr. Sarah Lewis is a psychologist and mother of Naomi Warren, an English teacher. This is Warren’s first time voting. She’s a Spelman College grad and excited to vote for a fellow HBCU graduate, and a fellow Black woman.
Reports @NeEddra
#OaklandHills neighbors helped each other through #KellerFire. By Sunday night, they all were allowed back home. @NeEddra reports. https://t.co/3bE9KbNs4C
The United Nations Security Council has passed a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages. The measure passed 14-0, with the United States abstaining.
Studies of MDMA-assisted therapy’s efficacy for PTSD healing is gravely limited if researchers focus on acute trauma. The vast majority of people suffering in Gaza (and in other oppressed places) are living with #chronictrauma#CPTSD. #FreePalestine#gaza https://t.co/sV5yv8V1ZP
Trauma isn’t just what happened to you. It’s what didn’t happen to you. It’s the care you never got. It’s the protection you weren’t given when you needed it most.
Totally unrelated from my typical content. But as a music lover and an audio person, I just gotta say there were no lies detected in #JayZ acceptance speech. Renaissance was a revelation, meanwhile Taylor Swift is over sounding mediocre. 🤷🏾♀️
Today is launch day for WHAT WE’VE BECOME: LIVING AND DYING IN A COUNTRY OF ARMS.
The book begins in the early morning hours of April 22 2018, when a naked white man with an AR-15 burst into a Nashville Waffle House and shot and killed four young adults of color. I spent five years learning everything about the case – reading police reports, interviewing families, going to court hearings, studying how a man with a highly lethal gun ended up at a Waffle House, and what happened after he left.
My research changed much of what I thought I knew about #gunviolence in #America and the best ways to prevent it. #WhatWeBecome started as a book about #guns – and evolved into a terrifying, infuriating, and
exceedingly unexpected story about race, politics, and sanity in the US South.

@Slee_Z_Binance@MonicaVanzant@nhannahjones 😂 did you even read the article you’re posting to “prove” you’re point?? My goodness, Mr. SleeZ, this is quite lazy trolling on your part:
@Slee_Z_Binance@MonicaVanzant@nhannahjones Sorry to break it to you, but the two things are different. There’s copious data supporting what I’m sharing with you. Look it up.
@Slee_Z_Binance@MonicaVanzant@nhannahjones Anti-white racism is not a thing. Racism requires access to institutional power. I think the word/concept you’re looking for is prejudice.
@timothy_gumm@nhannahjones Sir. With all due respect, you just can’t call @nhannahjones a racist while slave holding George Washington is your avatar. I mean, 😂. WTactualF, bruh?
@nhannahjones This is a great exploration of how people like Nikki Haley and other conservative POCs (feels so dissonant to call her that) mobilize race while simultaneously saying it doesn’t matter

@jill_d35@ReadReadj i had same gender siblings in mind. but yes, to your point, subjective experience differs even under extreme circumstantial similarity.
