I think I’m at a point where I just wanna fall back and pour more into myself. I’ve been feeling a little underappreciated lately, and I simply don’t have the energy to keep forcing connections. I just want peace.
When you find somebody that’s really genuine with you, don’t take that for granted. It’s too many people out here playing games, switching up, and acting loyal until something better come around. Finding somebody who really chooses you, stays solid, and gives you a reason to trust them is rare. If you got somebody like that, value what you got. Everybody ain’t finding that twice.
A relationship should be a place where you can actually be yourself. You should be able to talk freely, tell your partner when you’re hurt, ask for what you need, disagree, change your mind, laugh, cry and have difficult conversations without feeling like you’re going to be punished for it. That’s what comfort with someone should look like.
If you really locked in with somebody, you move different. Yeah, you grown, you can do whatever, but some things you just don’t do outta respect for your person. Ain’t about them controlling you or being insecure, it’s about loyalty and boundaries. Before you pull a move, ask yourself if you’d be cool with them doing it to you. If not, sit yo ass down .
I've overcome too much in my life for anyone to think that they'll add chaos and confusion to it. I really strive everyday to be at peace and to be happy. If you're not committed to adding to that, there's no room for you here.
Sometimes I accidentally accept the bare minimum trying to be considerate of what others are going through & that is a habit I need to let go of expeditiously
I don’t speak about this much cause I moved through every emotion that came behind it. But last year, I lost a woman I genuinely loved. At first… It felt like peace. I’m not going to lie. Finally the relationship stopped exposing the parts of me I hadn’t healed yet. At the time I didn’t realize I wasn’t escaping her. I was escaping myself.
At the end of the day, nobody knows how hard you hustle for your sht or how lonely you feel at times, or how much sleep you lose, or your daily pressures. That's why you gotta remember to do that sht for you.
There’s a special kind of heaviness in being misunderstood while struggling to explain that your heart never meant what they assumed. You carry all these unspoken clarifications inside your chest, yet somehow the right words never arrive.
Breakups are okay. Starting over is okay. Moving on is okay. Saying no is okay. Being alone is okay. What’s not okay is staying somewhere you don’t feel chosen, valued, or appreciated. That’s not okay.

It is admitting how much of yourself you edited to keep the connection.
The smaller needs. The softer wording. The silence you called maturity. The patience that was really fear of losing access.

Without pain and struggle you wouldn't have strength and character. Without negative people you might not appreciate the positive people in your life. Without that rejection or break up you might not have been guided to something better. Without that person saying you couldn't do it, you might not have had the motivation to do it. Without sadness and depression you might lack the compassion and caring you have today. Without painful endings you may not have been led to that great new beginning. There is a reason and a purpose in everything, and a true blessing in everything if you can open your eyes to see it and open your heart to know it. Don't ask why me. Don't say I didn't deserve this. Ask how can I use this? How can this make me stronger, better, wiser? Use the pain in your life as fuel to take you wherever you need to go. Use the mess in your life as a blessing to take you some place better. Have faith and trust that some endings are sent for new beginnings. It might not feel great at the time, but keep your head up and be open to the fact that you deserve better and if you keep believing you'll get better. Be open to the fact that you can't see the rest of the puzzle just yet, but just trust it will be a masterpiece. All of us experience pain and hard times, only some of us use that pain to grow. Don't just go through it. Grow through it. It will make you better if you can find the courage inside you to keep going.
Come out the other side of your pain stronger, better and wiser.
Your greatest life can not be lived without the strength that comes from your struggles. Your best life cannot be lived without great challenges. Trust this is a part of life. Find the purpose in the pain. Be one of the few who see the message in the mess. Be one of the few who gain the strength through the struggle. Who see the blessing in the lessons.
i like the concept of soulmates-not a "you're destined to meet me, and love me" kind of soulmate, but a "i'd pick you, every time." kind of soulmate. a "no matter what happens, and what has happened, i want to go through it with you." kind of soulmate. a "i love you by choice, and you're a blessing, and i'm going to continue thinking about you this way not because i have to but because i want to." kind of soulmate. a "you help me rest easy when everything is difficult" kind of soulmate. a "in every possible outcome, i want you there, to share it with me." kind of soulmate.
