Neal AIG I-Scholars presented the projects that they created with the NCSU I-scholar team at the American Educational Research Association in Philadelphia Pa. They also got to visit the Smithsonian African American Museum in Washington D.C.
We have been a little busy here at Neal Middle School with our partnerships with the NCSU MSEN and I-Scholar programs this 2023-2024 school year. These programs have produced awesome experiences for our AIG Scholars at Neal Middle School.
Our Scholars learned that the drum is used in the African American Cultural Center to Announce your coming and going. We all announced our departure using the drum in our own unique sound.

When hard works pays off. After talking to their peers about their experiences of working NCSU PHD students and Dr. Gray this school year. The 7th Grade AIG Students designed their "Ideal Learning Space". It included indoor and outdoor spaces.
AIG 8th Grader Grace took this project serious ! She used the 5 Themes of Geography to provide a summary of what she has read, so far in our class novel The Storm Runner by JC Cervantes . #NealorNothing#Talent
