@IronCity_Mike @AriWasserman If #3 Georgia (7-1) & #6 Ole Miss (7-1) had played today, the SEC would have 5 teams locked in the CFP. Since the SEC tiebreaker system picked CFP #9 Bama, and Bama got rolled, the SEC might only get 4 in. why wouldn’t the SEC want to maximize the # of teams locked in the CFP?

@jet7111 @AriWasserman The SEC had four (4) 7-1 teams in conference play. I’m simply recommending the conference choose a championship game tiebreaker that is most beneficial to that conference for the playoff era.

@jet7111 @AriWasserman If the SEC used CFP rankings to determine their championship tiebreakers, the SEC would be getting 5 in the playoff w/o a fuss. If the conference chooses to put their 5th highest rated team in CFP and that team gets rolled, they might only end up w/ 4 teams in.

Look. I don’t care. I am simply saying if SEC championship game had some combination of A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia. The loser & and Alabama are in. You put the #9 CFP team in your Championship game & they get rolled, they might be out.
