This is Leicester City Council's idea of a car free pedestrian and cycle zone on Granby Street. Automatic bollards were supposed to have been installed 2 years ago, and we're still waiting. This is not safe for pedestrians and people on bicycles. @Leicester_News @CityMayorLeic

The Crow Design Manual for Bicycle Traffic states no unsafe temporary surfacing should be used during works in progress (p.208). It is the gold standard. These pictures show unsafe temporary surfacing on the Granby St cycle lane since April 2024. @Leicester_News @CityMayorLeic
