@HuskerWave As big of a Buckeye fan as I can be, how can you objectively rate Reece that highly. He played limited snaps last year. No basis for that.
Here is hoping he turns out to be that good
@MrOH1O Marek and Cobb played together and both on this list. Al Washington overlapped with those two for 2 years and overlapped with Cousineau two years. Impressive!
@CoopersBucks Don't know what they were thinking, but this Buckeye fan was in total shock. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. What a fun game to attend!
@MrOH1O Hard to argue this.
1. JTB owns a ton of records and probably should be there ahead of fields.
2. Haskins threw what 50 td’s?
3. Braxton was electric
I like the idea of financial freedom, but I hate how it is marketed.
Financial freedom shouldn't be about escaping from something.
It should be about building a life you don't need to escape from in the first place.
The “Indiana only lost to Ohio State and ND” line is tired. Neither of those games were close.
Respect for winning 11 games, yes. Historical season. Congrats.
But I would not lump them into the same level as Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Georgia, ND, or Ohio State.
@RubinJMiller Tax rates, in my mind, are secondary. The main benefit of a 401 is they make saving easy and automated. Without the 401 and the match, many Americans wouldn’t save.
The tax benefits of pre-tax vs Roth are a distant second! Tax benefits don’t matter if you don’t save it!
@honest_math Lack of market pricing on a frequent basis creates an illusion of lower volatility. Think of it like your house. You don’t have a day to day ticker of your home’s value so you don’t see the possible value fluctuation.
My first day as a financial advisor, 8/1/1996, s&p 500 closed at about 650.
Today over 5k
7.75x. And it doesn’t include dividends.
The market is amazing
I recently read Same as Ever by @MorganHousel.
It was a phenomenal read packed full of timeless wisdom.
Here are 25 of my favorite quotes from the book:
▪Advisors deserve to be paid.
▪Clients deserve to know what they're paying.
▪Advisor service levels & client needs exhibit tremendous variety.
▪AUM & flat fee models can each be appropriate.
▪Righteous overgeneralization is great for engagement & terrible for discourse.
@courtranstrom The people have been strong. But the tech at Schwab vs td? Not. Even. Close.
TD was night and day better. Schwab’s tech is so far behind what TD brought to the table. From the move money to the trading it ain’t close.
@SFR_Investor Math is math I get it.
But sometimes not having the payment is “worth it”.
I fully believe that paying off debt is rarely a bad decision. It may not be “optimal” but it isn’t bad
