Most advice about burnout and stress management is lame.
We need practices that go beyond walking outside and sleeping more. Just as modern-day stress is evolving, we too need to upgrade.
5. Tell engaging stories.
Everyone is giving out free info today.
If you want to stand out, be an entertainer. Tell stories that capture your prospects.
You don’t stand out from giving the best information anymore. You stand out by telling the best stories.
4. Lead with value & respect people’s time.
If you’ve ever opened your messages to someone saying, “Want to book a free 30-minute discovery call?” you get what I’m talking about.
There is a better way. Lead with value and then present a short call if they’ve gotten value.
3. Be smart with posting on social media.
Sure, people love to follow humans on social media. But this doesn’t mean you only post pics of you working in another coffee shop.
Engineer mindset shifts with your content, so you’re effectively nurturing prospects.
2. Build a system for in-market leads first. THEN market with content.
People used to build a podcast, blog, email newsletter, etc. FIRST. It’s best to convert people looking for your solution first.
Then build your content marketing strategy for the long game.
1. Optimize for trust, not fast sales.
Too many brands are doing marketing tactics that prioritize fast sales.
Oftentimes, the fastest sales lead to the worst clients. It’s okay to go slower in your client acquisition. A well-nurtured prospect will be your best client.
Honesty & humility are the two best tools for radical transformation.
Not being overly critical of yourself.
Not being overly gentle toward yourself.
It's the humility & honesty to admit where you've fallen short that allows you to do something about it.
If you struggle coming up with content, repeat this to yourself …
“I am an endless stream of value.”
Or
“My words make a difference in the world.”
Oftentimes, our creativity block is caused by imposter syndrome.
A simple affirmation can help.
Your INCONSISTENCY in doing what you want is not a character flaw. So stop beating yourself up for it.
It's a CLARITY problem. You don't know what you want and what you need to do to make it happen.
That's an easy fix.
5. Add margin to connect with your loved ones.
Any routine that's too tightly optimize won't serve you if the goal is enjoying your life.
Have some loose time to enjoy your family in the morning.
4. Do the task that'll help you feel like you're starting your day with a big win.
Winning creates positive energy that we can ride for the rest of the day.
Win early to hack your day.
3. Ground yourself first.
You can't be productive in the day without a grounding routine.
