Neal Gardner

Australian bloke talking about cricket.

Josh Inglis!!!!!!

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

What a bloody day!

330, a lead on the board, 6 wickets in hand…

About as close to perfect as it gets.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

The two keepers are getting it done, eh? Everyone’s feasted but Marnus…

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

I am starting to seriously loath Marco Jansen

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

If we want to bring Konstas into the side at some point, I’d move Head back to 5 and keep Renshaw at the top of the order.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Marnus getting a duck on this wicket is actually astonishing. Like, how on earth has he managed that?

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

I don’t know if Renshaw is THE solution to our opening woes, but he’s sure as hell a better solution than any over these past two years.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

It has never been more over for Marnus.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

How many other fast bowlers in history have improved as significantly with age as Starc?

The man looks fitter, sharper and downright better than ever approaching his late 30s, still consistently bowling at 145+.

It makes no bloody sense.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

This entire day was a proper roller coaster, but we’ll take that every day of the week.

Second new ball definitely did a lot more than the first, but I’d imagine facing up to it tomorrow morning will be very different.

Still not convinced this batting lineup has it in them, but we’ve given ourselves a good chance.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

This is pure, unadulterated greatness.

Mitchell Starc, the man you are. 👑

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Starc… WTFFFF

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

VINTAGE STARC!!!!!!!!!!

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Absolutely beautiful recovery. We’re back in it baby.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Well then…..

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Lyon the 🐐

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Might have already lost the game in the first session. Cheers, Patty.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

I cannot see SA scoring less than 400 here. And that’s being conservative.

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Erm…… what????

[Neal Gardner @Nealbackup]

Some of this decisions we’ve made this series have been absolutely baffling.

Bowling first with the sun shining and the pitch baking on an absolute batting paradise.

Borderline incompetence.
