@Hatsune_Natalya@QavierCooley Assuming your physically a guy version looked, and thought very similar to your dressing as a guy self. However, it might be more difficult if the guy version of you has guy body problems and guy thinking.
I would like to add you keep assuming my positions, it's not workable for you to assume I'm some anarco capitalist moron, if you never hear real criticisms of your ideology from people who aren't only opposed to you from an absolutest standpoint it will make you bad at convincing people that your view is correct.
If you would actually address what I'm saying instead of using "what about ism", Capitalism is of course authoritarian, however it still provides varying levels of money based on the difficulties (either physical or mental) of your labor. And if it's something that very few people can or want to do then there exists wage premium for that too. This is not to say that the current amounts paid are adequate or that they are correct, simply to highlight that there is a difference. Without this difference. You need to literally hold a gun to people's head to make them do those tasks if they aren't going to be getting any greater benefit then someone who takes on half their physical or mental strain. Of course capitalism also holds a gun to your head: work or starve/ work or be unhoused/ etc. however you have the choice to work for more you can persue higher income with harsher work (trades) or with more specialization (stem) or people skills (fininace & entertainment). To boil it down to your example at the end. The vast majority of people would prefer to shovel shit for a nicer standard of living, however they wouldn't be willing to do so for no benefit.
It's funny how instead of answering how to deal with the problem of someone might not liking being in stinking sewers all day, and using harsh chemicals to clean out literal human waste and whatever else is washed from the streets into the sewage system, you prefer to say that I think I'm above that kind of labour, and pivot to AI. Capitalism solves that problem by providing the sewage and sanitation works with more the grocery store clerks. You can argue all day about if they are paid enough more, or of the grocery store clerks also deserve more as a baseline, but advocating that they receive only what each needs, and nothing more for the reality of their working conditions is ludicrous. (Oversliplification) - This is exactly why communism on a large scale devolves to authoritarian rule, because people don't wanna do very difficult things for the same as those who have it easy. Im trying to have a good faith discussion on how to solve this problem. So I don't wanna introduce "current day American capitalism and its faults" - as a focal point.
Okay 10 million people have agreed to form a collective, who is gonna be the sewer cleaner? Or the construction worker? And who is gonna be the poet or scientist? Do sewer cleaners and construction workers get more then people who just man stores that hand out food there is a very real diffenr in effort and physical cost between various jobs. It's pretty simple when it's hunter gathers, but advanced societies create an imbalce of work and cost ok the population. Will everyone really be satisfied with just their needs being met when there is a vastly disproportionate amount of cost or effort associated with their work?
You know certain quantities of people are required to live in a modern society. You can't have nice things like plumbing, public infestructure, advanced specialist Labor without a massive population. You will never be able to get 10 million people with equal say to agree on how much is the right amount of anything, and it will devove into chaos or total authoritarian controls every single time.
That's the whole issue: the show is getting unnecessary hate, I think partly because people want to go crazy for it. It has all the makings of a super mega hit. Personally, I enjoy watching it, but I am always feeling a bit disappointed, like, this is good, but think of what could have been.
I mean, JJK is, in fact, better animated than Invincible. It's not just JJK, however; even Western productions like Avatar/Hazbin Hotel have better animation. We dont even have to get into the budget allocation issues. I generally like the main voice cast of invincible but being honest, there is no reason to hire on-screen celebrities to voice background/side characters.
I don't mean popular in pure viewership metrics which the shows are pretty even with. I mean in terms of how positive the reactions to the show are. Most people who watch arcane want to recommend it wholeheartedly. Invincible always comes with the caveats. This also explains the lack of invincible edits compared to arcane.
@solfullye @LucasFryman Watching and being mega fans are two different things. If it had better animation there would be significantly more edits/watch events/fans pushing it to more and more audiences. The only reason it's not just as popular if not more than say Arcane is because the animation is mid.
I think it's about trying to reach a good ratio. I dont think it's possible never to suffer. I've known a range of people well enough to guess/ask how they feel. Everyone has differnt ratios, but it's possible to change them over time. Personally, I've been happy to use my time in limbo to get back into/learn new hobbies. Do you feel your ratio has changed over time?
I want to be able to move to my own house (I'm 26). My career is fixed to my current location, but despite a relatively high income I still can't afford to buy anything here (nyc/long island). I could rent, but I feel it would be a waste when I don't have any problems with my family and they like me being around to help as well. There is a chance I could take a promotion to move to a different city so I'm just waiting on an opportunity like that to come up. I have enough savings to buy in areas around NY (NJ/CT/PA), just not enough for long island or NYC itself. Do you think you will be able to reach a state where life won't be suffering?
@Hatsune_Natalya Hmm, that's a healthy way of viewing it. I'm at a point in life where I don't really have goals left to chase that dont involve waiting around for accumulation. So I feel a bit stuck in limbo, I dont think I think it would be especially satisfying to end here. How about you?
@Hatsune_Natalya It's interesting to think about tough. "After" the end, does time hold any meaning? It all passes by without consideration once you're gone. Could everything that was ever possible happen by the end of this reality? The start of a new one?
Her voting record isn't important to me; her beliefs and intentions are. These can be inferred from a multitude of factors, including her voting record. However, it can't simply be boiled down to yes or no on any particular bill. In my original comment, I linked a DSA article that actually stated what you are talking about: she voted against the bill but also did not support the amendment. Your continued focus on my "lie" while ignoring what I'm actually trying to say tells me you're more focused on "goutcha-ing" than actually talking. I won't be responding anymore.
