We finished out our season today after the State Meet. It was a fun year of competing, getting better, laughing and learning. Thanks to all the athletes, coaches, and supporters that made this season successful!
We had a great send off from school yesterday, and a good first day of competing at the State Meet! We still have 2 events left in the Long Jump at 9:30 and 800 at 1:30 tomorrow.
We have plenty of PR band and medal winners as we head into districts! Come out and support us at Platteview tomorrow as we race for state bids. Field events start at 10AM, running starts at 12:45PM.
We hosted Hayward for their meet today, displaying great leadership as athletes and school reps. There is value in belief in oneself, picking up a teammate who needs it, encouraging another to finish the race, or cheering on your team. A great example of PiONEer FAMILY!
17 PRs, 37 medals, a second place plaque, 5 athletes who were medalists in all 4 events, and our second 4 PR meet of the year have us excited as we start gearing up for districts and state! Thanks @fcxcrunner for a great meet.
Any meet where you can score more medals than you have PRs is a good one. But when you have double digit PRs and still more medals, it’s a great day! The Pioneers will be back in action on Monday in Falls City.
Our efforts this week may have been helped by having a second Coach Fedoris at practice. We are giving out 42 PR bands and 15 medals after our home invite! Can’t wait to celebrate on Monday.
