@MishaalRahman Unfortunately this will do little against that, as of recent, people are relying on professional flashing software and paid services to remove frp instead of doing exploits, long as the verification is happening locally, it will always be easy to bypass.
@arter97 thinking about enabling encryption on my laptop, seems like it has a much greater impact on performance compared to on phone, and not just bitlocker, but also LUKS, so I'd probably encrypt just home and root, and keep a separate partition unencrypted for games and other stuff
@arter97 Opal generally also sucks even when locked, and has historically been vulnerable to many exploits.
I also never used encryption except recently I started leaving it enabled on my phone.
@RoseHaft@StephTaitWrites@briebriejoy If you consider hamas equal to Israel, then that's a fair opinion to have, a terrorist organization vs a terrorist state
@arter97 Have not tried this on a Oneplus specifically but in general yes, you can flash by edl without losing data
For oneplus I think it might be possible but with a third party tool not the official one
@AssembleDebug@MishaalRahman Given that it mentions calls specifically and not sms or data then I certainly think it will use wifi, but it's completely possible that it may use the internet, though I kinda hoped it would share sim info, somewhat like Bluetooth remote sim profile
@OrdinaryGamers If it wasn't for Atlas I would probably still be using windows 7 or 8.1, certainly a worse security risk than not having windows defender, stock windows 10 is simply not an option for low ram/no ssd machines, but I just dual boot it for some games and software, mainly use arch.
@MishaalRahman@_cdesai@mikegapinski This would be sufficient if as you said a device isn't launched yet, but to use this in the cases where a user's phone is stolen would be a minor inconvenience at best.
Android does not have a good anti theft solution, even IOS icloud lock, while much better it's still flawed.
