The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.

This is so pessimistic. We have to believe the survivors will be able to make a new life. We have to have hope. My Oma survived the Holocaust to live a normal life. People have incredible capacity for resilience. The scars will remain but the Palestinian people will thrive again
