The Marcos administration seems to have one rule: if the law gets in the way, just bend it to benefit themselves. Laws should apply equally to everyone, not be twisted whenever it’s politically convenient.

🔎 REALITY CHECK: When trillions are unaccounted for, the system is hemorrhaging cash, pumping more money into it without fixing the leak is deeply problematic.
Without ongoing or new legitimate flagship projects, an increased budget implies the money is being diverted into bloated operational expenses, localized lump-sum allocations, or opaque "unprogrammed" funds.
Approving a larger budget in the wake of unresolved, multi-trillion corruption scandals creates a severe moral hazard. It signals to corrupt officials, complicit contractors, and oversight bodies that there are no tangible consequences for financial mismanagement.
It essentially institutionalizes impunity, showing that no matter how much public wealth is diverted, the financial tap will not only remain open but will run even faster.
Primitivo Mijares was Ferdinand Marcos's own media czar — his chief propagandist, the man who controlled the narrative of Martial Law. In 1975, he defected. He testified before the United States Congress. He wrote a book exposing everything: the corruption, the brutality, the conjugal dictatorship of Ferdinand and Imelda. One year after the book was published, Mijares disappeared. He has never been found. His 16-year-old son Boyet was abducted four months later. His tortured body was found in Antipolo, dropped from a military helicopter. Marcos silenced them both.

@teddycasino Nope, Jinggoy is not beyond the coercive power of the Senate. If Leila De Lima was able to function as a Senator while in detention, no reason why Jinggoy can't be called upon.
@WinGatchalian74 The Constitution and the Senate rule is clear, majority of ALL members of the Senate and that's 13. Believe what you want but the law is clear, the majority is 13.
